ROME AREA COUNCIL FOR THE ARTS, ADVENT HEALTH REDMOND TEAM UP FOR ROME COMMUNITY HEART PROJECT

The Rome Area Council for the Arts is teaming with Advent Health Redmond to present their 9th annual Community HeART Project throughout February as a part of National Heart Month.

Local artists were given a blank canvas on which to convey a message about heart health. The canvasses have been enlarged into outdoor banners that are now on display on the side of the 3rd Avenue Parking Deck that overlooks the Town Green in downtown Rome.

Megan Watters, Committee Chair of the Rome Community HeART Project, asserts that she is happy to continue RACA’s partnership with Advent Health Redmond (formerly Redmond Regional Medical Center).

Thirty-one works of art created by local schools, individual artists, and others are featured in this year’s display, adds Watters.

Community members may vote for their favorite heart-work and purchase an individual canvas (for $50 each) via Instagram; search for romearts.

A drive-thru reception to honor HeART artists is set for Tuesday, February 1st from 4:30 pm to 6 pm at the Town Green, according to Lulie Ebaugh, RACA Executive Director. Java Joy will serve coffee to attendees.
