HAWKS EXTEND WINNING STREAK TO SEVEN STRAIGHT WITH VICTORY OVER LAKERS

The Atlanta Hawks defeated the Los Angeles Lakers 129-121 in NBA action on Sunday afternoon at State Farm Arena. That was the seventh straight win for Atlanta and resulted in a 1-1 split in the two-game season series between those teams.

Trae Young led the charge with a game-high 36 points, as well as 12 assists. John Collins had 20 points and 11 rebounds.

Malik Monk scored a team-high 33 points for the Lakers, who were without LeBron James.

The Hawks improved to 24-25 on their 2021-2022 regular season. They will host the Toronto Raptors this evening at 7:30 pm; that outing will be televised on Bally Sports Southeast.
