EXCHANGE CLUB FAMILY RESOURCE CENTER’S NIGHT AT THE MOVIES SET FOR FEBRUARY 22ND

The Exchange Club Family Resource Center will host their 22nd annual Night at the Movies on Tuesday, February 22nd, 2022 at the historic DeSoto Theatre in downtown Rome.

Showtime is 7:15 pm, according to Tina Bartleson, FRC Executive Director, who looks forward to being at the DeSoto.

This year, the 1994 blockbuster “Forrest Gump” will be screened, enthuses Bartleson.

The film will be preceded by a reception at 6 pm in the Seven Hills building adjacent to the DeSoto.

Tickets for Night at the Movies are $55 per person, $100 per couple, and $45 each for groups of 10 or more. Proceeds will go towards the FRC mission to prevent child abuse in Rome and Floyd County, states Bartleson; this mission is carried out via the FRC’s Parent Aide program.

Support of the event is needed so that the center can support families, attests Bartleson.

Night at the Movies took place for many years at local theaters owned by Dr. Gary Smith. He passed away on Monday, just days from what would have been his 78th birthday.
