A total of 3,332 new cases of coronavirus and 104 more virus-related deaths were reported across Georgia on Thursday by the state Department of Public Health.
According to the latest update by the DPH issued just before 3 pm, there have been 1,886,999 confirmed cases of COVID-19 statewide since the beginning of this pandemic. The state’s death toll now stands at 28,461. The number of confirmed cases totaled 22,599 in Floyd County, which has additionally had a total of 367 fatalities. Fulton County has had the most confirmed cases in this state with 179,837 and the most deaths with 1,854.
As of the Thursday update to the vaccine dashboard, 14,199,465 vaccines have been administered statewide; 62 percent of all Georgians have received at least one dose, while 55 percent have been fully vaccinated. Among fully vaccinated Georgians, 38 percent have had an additional dose; 21 percent of residents statewide have had the booster.
