AAA: GEORGIA’S GAS PRICES CONTINUE TO RISE

Georgia’s gas prices continue to increase. According to AAA, The Auto Club Group, motorists statewide now pay the average price of $3.37 per gallon for regular unleaded gasoline. That is four cents more than a week ago, 25 cents more than last month, and 89 cents more than this time last year.

It now costs motorists in the Peach State $50.55 to fill up a 15-gallon tank of gasoline.

Montrae Waiters, AAA spokeswoman, states, “Elevated oil prices continue to contribute to the rise in gas prices across the country. One way Georgians can maximize fuel efficiency is to keep their vehicle well-maintained as the pump prices climb.”

Tension among Russia and Ukraine has contributed to rising oil prices.

Sunday’s national average of $3.53 per gallon of regular unleaded gasoline is five cents more than a week ago, 21 cents more than last month, and 91 cents more than at this same time last year.
