AMERICAN RED CROSS REMAINS IN CRITICAL NEED OF BLOOD DONATIONS; LOCALS URGED TO GIVE TO NWGA CHAPTER

The American Red Cross remains in critical need of blood donations. Carla Maton, Executive Director of the Northwest Georgia chapter, says that details about upcoming blood drives are available at www.redcrossblood.org. Drives are held monthly at the chapter office in Rome.

Maton urges eligible donors to go ahead and register to give blood at the next drive scheduled to take place at the Rome office, 112 John Maddox Drive, on Monday, March 14th. This will be an opportunity to donate during American Red Cross Month, observed annually in March.

The American Red Cross prevents and alleviates human suffering in the face of emergencies by mobilizing the power of volunteers and the generosity of donors, according to its mission statement. The organization provides disaster relief, blood services, and support to military families. Get more information online at www.redcross.org.
