FIRST R.O.M.E. CONCERT OF THE YEAR SET FOR SATURDAY

(Media release from Rome’s Own Musical Ensembles, Inc.):

The first R.O.M.E. concert of 2022 is this Saturday (March 5), and it’s a doozy!!

The fabulous Clock Tower Jazz Ensemble will perform ‘Greg Robbins Sings Sinatra’ at the Rome City Auditorium beginning at 7:00 p.m. Greg graduated from Berry College, then went to New York to launch his career and was singing regularly in a jazz club until Covid hit. He’ll return to Rome for this program which will include Sinatra hits like Fly Me to the Moon, The Way You Look Tonight, The Best Is Yet to Come, More, and much more! The CTJE band will also perform some vintage arrangements as recorded by the Stan Kenton Orchestra and a great setting of the Beatles’ Blackbird. We’ll also present a guest solo by Jackie Beard, a Rome native who has just retired back to Rome after a career teaching at the prestigious Berklee School of Music in Boston. And of course there are always a few surprises up our sleeve!

The R.O.M.E. season ticket is good for this concert. Additional tickets are available for $15 each at Rome Kroger store and online at eventbrite.com.  Tickets are also available at the door ($10 for students) though for cash or check only.
