Spring is just around the corner! It’s arrival will be followed shortly by the annual Chieftains Herb & Plant Sale to benefit the Chieftains Museum/Major Ridge Home. The sale will be held on Saturday, April 9th from 9 am to 4 pm and Sunday, April 10th from 12 pm to 3 pm at the Coosa Valley Fairgrounds, 1400 Martin Luther King Jr Boulevard in Rome. It will be fully in person for 2022, enthuses Heather Shores, the museum’s Executive Director.
An Herb & Plant Sale preview will be offered to members of the museum on Friday, April 8th, adds Shores.
All proceeds from Chieftains Herb & Plant Sale will support the Chieftains Museum/Major Ridge Home, a National Historic Landmark and one of only a few private entities to be certified by the National Park Service as a site on the Trail of Tears.
