COVID-19 DAILY STATUS REPORT, VACCINE DASHBOARD UPDATE FROM GEORGIA DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC HEALTH

A total of 778 new cases of coronavirus and 71 more virus-related fatalities were reported in Georgia on Wednesday by the state’s Department of Public Health.

According to the latest update by the DPH issued just after 7 pm, there have been 1,917,130 confirmed cases of COVID-19 statewide since the beginning of this pandemic. The state’s death toll now stands at 30,252. The number of confirmed cases totaled 22,905 in Floyd County, which has additionally had a total of 405 fatalities. Fulton County has had the most confirmed cases in this state with 182,773 and the most deaths with 1,986.

As of the Wednesday update to the vaccine dashboard, 14,444,569 vaccines have been administered statewide; 63 percent of all Georgians have received at least one dose, while 55 percent have been fully vaccinated. Among fully vaccinated Georgians, 39 percent have had an additional dose; 22 percent of residents statewide have had the booster.
