MLB LOCKOUT ENDS, 2022 SEASON SET TO BEGIN ON APRIL 7TH

Major League Baseball’s lockout is over! The league and the MLB Players Association finally reached a new collective bargaining agreement (CBA) on Thursday. The MLBPA approved the deal by a 26-12 vote, then the owners ratified it with a unanimous 30-0 vote on Thursday night, according to MLB. The 2022 regular season is now scheduled to begin on April 7th. Teams will play a full 162-game season. Players are expected be at Spring Training this Sunday.

Baseball fans can catch all the action on WLAQ 1410 AM/96.9 FM this year as the ’21 World Series champion Atlanta Braves defend their title. They will open the season on their home field at Truist Park versus the Cincinnati Reds on Thursday, April 7th.
