Times have officially been set for the 2021 World Series champion Atlanta Braves’ Spring Training schedule for 2022. The Braves will open Grapefruit League play on Friday down in North Port, Florida as hosts to the Minnesota Twins; first pitch is scheduled for 1:05 pm.

Tune in for weekend Spring Training games on WLAQ 1410 AM/96.9 FM, courtesy of the Atlanta Braves Radio Network. This weekend’s slate includes outings in Port Charlotte, FL against the Tampa Bay Rays on Saturday and in North Port versus the Philadelphia Phillies on Sunday afternoon. Both are set for 1:05 pm.

The countdown continues to Opening Day – there are now 23 days until the Braves open their 2022 regular season on Thursday, April 7th at Truist Park in Atlanta versus the Cincinnati Reds.

And in other news from the Braves, the team has acquired first baseman Matt Olson, an Atlanta native, from the Oakland A’s in exchange for four prospects to include catcher Shea Langeliers and outfielder Cristian Pache. That marks the end of the Freddie Freeman era.
