Clerk of Superior Court Barbara H. Penson reports that some Floyd County citizens are receiving text messages stating that they have failed to appear for jury duty, and they must pay a fine or go to jail. This is a SCAM. Court officials would never demand a fine be paid via a text message. If you receive one of these messages, do not respond to it.
