HABITAT FOR HUMANITY – COOSA VALLEY TO BENEFIT FROM 2ND ANNUAL HAMMER IT HOME FOR HABITAT 5K AND HEALTH WALK ON APRIL 30TH

Habitat for Humanity – Coosa Valley announces their second annual Hammer it Home for Habitat 5K and health walk and is scheduled for Saturday, April 30th. The course will follow the Heritage Trail System along the Oostanaula River and through Ridge Ferry Park, starting and finishing at the Rome Braves Stadium. The 5K starts at 9:00am and the 2 mile health walk at 9:30am. You can register online at habitatcoosavalley.org or at the ReStore, located at 504 East First Ave.

Betsy Allgood stated, “thanks to our generous sponsors and participants last year we exceeded our goal of raising $10,000 and it is our hope the community comes out again this year to do the same. All the proceeds raised from Hammer it Home will stay right here in our community to help build homes for two very deserving families.”
