FIRST DAY OF SPRING IS THIS SUNDAY, MARCH 20TH, GEORGIA STATE PARKS & HISTORIC SITES READY FOR SPRING BREAKERS

The first day of Spring is this Sunday, March 20th. Georgia State Parks and Historic Sites have much to offer those who wish to celebrate the arrival of the season in the great outdoors. According to Kim Hatcher, Public Affairs Coordinator, parks statewide look forward to welcoming visitors over Spring Break.

Not only do the parks offer beautiful scenery, they also provide families with ways to save money, attests Hatcher.

Hatcher recommends that visitors pick up a Georgia State Parks and Historic Sites Passport to track travels. Passports are $12.99 each and are available at parks statewide. Details about parks and historic sites may be located inside the 2022 Travel Guide, available at www.gastateparks.org via mail by phone at 1-800-864-7275.

A full slate of events will be held throughout Spring at Georgia State Parks and Historic Sites. Visit the website for information.

Make sure that you are weather aware before heading into the great outdoors. Rain is the forecast for today, though conditions should be ideal for spending time outside through the remainder of the weekend.
