The Northwest Georgia Council of the Boy Scouts of America has planned a Spring Cub Camping Weekend for April 22nd to 24th up at Camp Sidney Dew, 3624 Everett Springs Road in Armuchee. Eric Vaughn, the Vice President of Marketing, enthuses that local Cub Scouts from Kindergarten through the 5th grade will play games and participate in outdoor activities. Anyone interested in scouting is invited to attend.
Scouting provides youngsters with opportunities to mature into leaders, states Vaughn.
Among those opportunities available to scouts – adventurous programs at places like Philmont Scout Ranch in New Mexico or Sea Base down in the Florida Keys, adds Vaughn.
