A total of 405 new cases of coronavirus and 37 more virus-related fatalities were reported in Georgia on Wednesday by the state’s Department of Public Health.
According to the latest update by the DPH issued just before 3 pm, there have been 1,93,701 confirmed cases of COVID-19 statewide since the beginning of this pandemic. The state’s death toll now stands at 30,812. The number of confirmed cases totaled 22,938 in Floyd County, which has additionally had a total of 413 fatalities. Fulton County has had the most confirmed cases in this state with 183,476 and the most deaths with 2,026.
As of Wednesday’s to the vaccine dashboard, 14,532,661 vaccines have been administered statewide; 63 percent of all Georgians have received at least one dose, while 56 percent have been fully vaccinated. Among fully vaccinated Georgians, 40 percent have had an additional dose; 22 percent of residents statewide have had a booster.
