APRIL OBSERVANCE OF CHILD ABUSE PREVENTION MONTH TO KICK OFF THIS FRIDAY WITH PLACEMENT OF THE PINWHEELS

Child Abuse Prevention Month will be again be observed in April. And again this year, that observance will be spearheaded locally by the Exchange Club’s Family Resource Center.

Tina Bartleson, the FRC’s Executive Director, indicates that CAP month will commence with the annual Placement of the Pinwheels on Friday, April 1st at 1:30 pm on the grounds of Toles, Temple & Wright, Inc., 611 Turner McCall Boulevard in Rome. The theme for 2022 is ‘Fostering Connections to Build Stronger Families’.

Connections are essential to the prevention of child abuse, attests Bartleson, who adds that she is grateful to have had positive connections in her own life over the years.

Education will be a major component of the local observance of CAP Month in ’22. Bartleson encourages the public to follow the Exchange Club Family Resource Center via social media to learn ways to prevent child abuse in this community. And be sure to wear blue each Monday throughout the month of April!
