ROME CITY SCHOOLS UPDATES: CALLED BOARD MEETING SET FOR TODAY TO INTERVIEW FINALISTS FOR VACANT BOARD SEAT, THREE ROME HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS SELECTED AS FINALISTS FOR GOVERNOR’S HONORS

The Rome Board of Education will have a called meeting on Tuesday, March 29, 2022, at 5:30 p.m. The meeting will be held at the Rome Board of Education Administrative Offices in the former Boardroom located at 508 East Second Street.

The purpose of the meeting is to interview finalists interested in filling the board seat vacated by the resignation of Mr. John H. Uldrick as well as other items.

In other news from the Rome City Schools –

Finalists for the Governor’s Honors Program were announced over the weekend and Rome High School has three students who qualified in their area of study.

Asiel Castillo-Campos is a finalist and he is nominated in the Engineering category. Shriya Garg will represent Rome City Schools in the area of Mathematics. Lastly, Miriam Loya will participate in the Science classification (Biology/Environmental Science).
