The Rome Braves are a week away from their 2022 season opener. They will begin their regular season on the road next Friday, April 8th up in Greensboro, NC versus the Grasshoppers. Their home opener is slated for Tuesday, April 12th at State Mutual Stadium against Hudson Valley.

David Cross, Rome’s General Manager, officially announced on Thursday via the airwaves of WLAQ that Logan Maddox will serve as the ’22 play by play announcer for the team on their MiLB live stream. Maddox, who has worked for the local ballclub over the past four years, enthuses that the opportunity to serve as the voice of the Rome Braves is a ‘dream come true’.

Highlights of Rome’s first homestand of the year will include an appearance by the Atlanta Braves’ 2021 World Champions Trophy Tour on April 13th. Get tickets and more information at
