CHIEFTAINS HERB AND PLANT SALE, SPRING ART MARKET ON TAP FOR THIS WEEKEND

Attention, local gardeners! Here is a reminder that the Chieftains Herb and Plant Sale to benefit the Chieftains Museum/Major Ridge Home is on tap for this weekend at the Coosa Valley Fairgrounds in Rome. Sale hours are 9 am to 4 pm on Saturday and noon to 3 pm on Sunday.

Heather Shores, the museum’s Executive Director, looks forward to a fully in person event for ’22. The sale will feature a potting station and a raffle.

A sale preview will be open to museum members this evening from 5:30 pm to 7:30 pm.

Chieftains Museum/Major Ridge Home is a National Historic Landmark and one of few private entities certified by the National Park Service as a site on the Trail of Tears.

And if you would like to stock up on Georgia Made, Georgia Grown items, visit the 2022 Georgia’s Rome Gift Shop’s Spring Art Market this weekend. It will be open on Saturday and Sunday from 10 am until 4 pm both days at the Rome Civic Center. Admission and parking will be free.
