AMERICAN RED CROSS OF NWGA READIES FOR NATIONWIDE SOUND THE ALARM CAMPAIGN IN MAY

The American Red Cross of Northwest Georgia is seeking volunteers to help install smoke alarms as part of its Sound the Alarm campaign in May.

Carla Maton, Executive Director, says that the Red Cross’ goal is to install a total of 50,000 smoke alarms nationwide. Details about the campaign may be obtained at www.redcross.org/soundthealarm.

Community members can support Sound the Alarm by serving as a volunteer or making a financial contribution via that website. And if you need a smoke alarm, the Red Cross has you covered, attests Maton.

The American Red Cross of Northwest Georgia serves a total of 15 counties. Their main chapter office is located at 112 John Maddox Drive in Rome.
