ATLANTA BRAVES DROP SERIES OPENER IN LA TO DODGERS, ROME BRAVES BACK IN ACTION AT BOWLING GREEN TONIGHT

The Atlanta Braves fell to the Los Angeles Dodgers 7-4 on Monday night in the opener of a three-game set at Dodger Stadium in LA.

Freddie Freeman got the Dodgers on the board with a solo home run against his former team in the bottom of the first inning. LA scored five more runs in the fourth.

Guillermo Heredia got the Braves on the board with a solo shot in the top of the fifth; that was his first home run of the season.

The Braves tacked on three more runs in the sixth to include a solo home run by Ozzie Albies; however, the Dodgers added an insurance run on a solo shot from Cody Bellinger during the eighth and held on for the victory, again, by a final score of 7-4.

Huascar Ynoa took the loss for Atlanta after giving up five runs and four hits, walking four, and striking out four over three and two-third innings. Clayton Kershaw was credited with the win and (former Brave) Craig Kimbrel got the save for LA.
