ATLANTA BRAVES PICK UP WIN IN LA OVER DODGERS BEHIND STELLAR PERFORMANCE BY FRIED; ROME BRAVES DROP SERIES OPENER AT BOWLING GREEN, KY

The Atlanta Braves picked up a 3-1 victory over the Los Angeles Dodgers on Tuesday night in the middle outing of a three-game set at Dodger Stadium in LA, evening the series at a game apiece.

Offensive highlights included a solo home run by Travis d’Arnaud off Walker Buehler that got the Braves on the board in the top of the second inning.

Max Fried, a Southern California native, notched his first win of this season after giving up just two hits, walking none, and striking out eight over seven scoreless innings of work. Kenley Jansen secured the save against his former team – by retiring Freddie Freeman.

And in a minor league update, the Rome Braves opened a six-game series in Bowling Green, Kentucky with a loss to the Hot Rods by a final score of 5-4 on Tuesday night. The teams will meet again today at 12:05 pm.
