ROME MIDDLE SCHOOL FFA AWARDED GRANT FROM JUNIOR SERVICE LEAGUE OF ROME, RCS BOARD OF EDUCATION GATHER FOR SPRING RETREAT

(Media release from Rome City Schools):

The Rome Middle School Future Farmers of America (FFA) program was awarded a first-time $1,000 grant from the Junior Service League of Rome.

FFA Advisor, Ashley Hamby, said she knows exactly how the funds will be put to use.

“We have a garden in the back area where the students get to learn about what vegetables go together and how they grow. We are going to utilize these funds to build that garden up, especially with our pollinator bed. I really think that the students learning how to grow their own food is a huge necessity.”

Congratulations to the RMS FFA and big thanks to the Junior Service League of Rome.
