Early voting begins today for the May 24th primary election. Floyd County’s voters may head to one of two locations to cast an early ballot, either the new Elections Office at 18 East 12th Street in Rome or at the Anthony Recreation Center at 2901 Garden Lakes Boulevard (at rear of Garden Lakes Elementary School). Each is open Monday thru Friday from 8 am to 5 pm until May 20th. The new Elections Office will additionally offer Saturday voting on May 7th and 14th from 9 am to 5 pm, as well as Sunday voting on May 15th from 1 pm to 5 pm.
