HABITAT FOR HUMANITY – COOSA VALLEY NOW SEEKING NEW BOARD MEMBERS

(Media release from Habitat for Humanity – Coosa Valley):

Habitat for Humanity – Coosa Valley is currently seeking volunteers to join its Board of Directors for the new fiscal year which begins July 1, 2022. We are looking for individuals with experience in construction, finance, accounting, legal, marketing or charitable fundraising.

Habitat for Humanity – Coosa Valley hopes to make the 2022 – 2023 year a great success. We are currently working with two new partner families to fulfill their dreams of homeownership.  With the support from enthusiastic volunteers, we can really make a difference in our community.

Habitat for Humanity – Coosa Valley was established in December of 1984. The Christian-based organization functions under the belief that everyone deserves a decent place to live. Through volunteer labor and monetary donations, our organization is able to build and rehabilitate affordable, safe, decent homes for deserving families.

Our Board of Directors volunteer their time, expertise, and financial support to further our mission, strengthen our neighborhoods, and build strength, stability and self-reliance for the families who partner with us in Floyd, Chattooga and Polk counties. Board members can serve up to two 3-year terms. The Habitat for Humanity – Coosa Valley Board of Directors currently meets on the fourth Monday of each month at noon.

If this sounds like an opportunity that might suit your interests, please contact our Executive Director, Betsy Allgood at [email protected] or 706.378.0030. Together we can build homes, communities and hope!
