THE DAVIES SHELTERS’ FARM BUS IS ON THE ROAD AGAIN!

The Davies Shelters’ Farm Bus is on the road again! Updates on its weekly appearances may be obtained at www.daviesshelter.com or via social media to include Facebook and Instagram, says Devon Smyth, Executive Director.

The Farm Bus will offer a wide variety of home grown items throughout the season, such as tomatoes, peppers, okra, and more, says Smyth.

Many of these goodies were grown by guests and community members who participated in the Davies Shelters’ urban farming program last Spring, states Smyth.

Items on the Farm Bus are reasonably priced so that all purchasers can afford to have healthy food on their tables, attests Smyth.

Cards and cash are accepted, in addition to SNAP/EBT. As indicated by the Davies Shelter website, each purchase at the Farm Bus helps the organization to: increase (healthy) food access across this community; sustain their work, particularly their farming program; and create partnerships with other local producers to more holistically meet the needs of the community.
