ATLANTA BRAVES BACK HOME FOR WEEKEND SERIES VERSUS THE MILWAUKEE BREWERS, ROME BRAVES CONTINUE SERIES UP IN GREENVILLE, SC

The Atlanta Braves had a scheduled off-day Thursday and will get back into action this evening at Truist Park with the opener of a three-game set against the Milwaukee Brewers. First pitch is slated for 7:20 pm. Listen on WLAQ 1410 AM/96.9 FM; air time is 6:05 pm by the Braves Radio Network.

The Braves return to their home field on a high note after finishing a seven-game road trip on Wednesday with a 9-2 win over the National League East-leading New York Mets at Citi Field. That resulted in a 2-2 split in the four-game series among division rivals.

Atlanta scored seven runs in the sixth inning of that ballgame and concluded their road trip with a total of three wins and four losses. They now hold third place in the NL East with a record of 12-15, while Milwaukee’s Brewers lead the NL Central at 18-8. Those teams last met during the ’21 National League Division Series, from which Atlanta emerged victorious.

In a minor league update, the Rome Braves were defeated by the Greenville Drive 7-4 on Thursday evening in Greenville, South Carolina. That allowed the Drive to assume a 2-1 lead in the six-game set among those teams. Game four is scheduled for tonight at 7:05 pm.
