ROME-FLOYD CHAMBER LOOKS FORWARD TO ITS 2022 ANNUAL MEETING, CONTINUES EFFORTS TO HELP MEMBER BUSINESSES FIND QUALIFIED WORKERS

The Rome-Floyd Chamber is looking forward to its ’22 Annual Meeting, set for Thursday, May 19th at Taylor Estate, located at 549 Minshew Road. This will be a brunch event. Networking will begin at 11:15 am. A brunch buffet will open at 11:30 am, and the program will start at noon.

Pam Powers-Smith, President and CEO, states that the Chamber will provide updates on its activities of the past year and hand out awards.

A limited number of tickets to the Annual Meeting remained available as of Thursday. Each costs $35. For more information or to purchase tickets, call the Chamber at (706) 291-7663.

After the event, attendees will be surveyed as to where they’d like next year’s Annual Meeting to be held, adds Powers-Smith.

The 2021 Annual Meeting took place at what was then State Mutual Stadium and is now AdventHealth Stadium, home of the Rome Braves.

Powers-Smith also says that many local businesses remain on the lookout for qualified workers to fill available jobs. So if you are looking for a job, check out the Jobs page on the Chamber’s website at www.romega.com.

The Chamber is also searching for new employees, says Powers-Smith, who bids adieu to Thomas Kislat, the Director of Membership and Entrepreneurial Development over the past two years who announced last week his departure from that post to take a new position with the German American Chamber of Commerce for the Southern Territory of the US.
