The Rome Kiwanis Club is selling peaches for our 15th year. The net proceeds from this project provide scholarships for our local students. This spring we gave out over $6000 in scholarships. We want to continue this worthwhile project for our Club and our students. Our supplier is located here in Georgia.
We are taking orders for the peaches now. The prepaid orders are due back to me by July 1st 2022. Peaches will be available for pick up at the Chieftains Museum Parking lot, 501 Riverside Parkway Rome on Friday July 8th from 8 AM to 2:00 PM. If the peaches are not picked up or arrangements made for pick up, we will donate them to the Community Kitchen or Open Door Home late Friday afternoon.
Email an order to [email protected] or send it by mail to John Pillsbury 106 East Valley Road, Rome, GA. 30161. Also, send a check to that address made out to Rome Kiwanis Club. All peach orders have to be prepaid as we have to pay our supplier when we get the peaches. This year we will only have the full 25-pound box and will not have smaller ones.
The peaches last year were terrific. We expect the same this year and price has not increased.
