The Atlanta Braves fell to the Philadelphia Phillies 4-1 on Thursday evening in the finale of a four-game National League East series at Truist Park, which resulted in a 2-2 split in the series.

Kyle Wright was charged with the loss for Atlanta after giving up three runs and three hits, walking two, and striking out five in six and two-third innings of work. Aaron Nola picked up the win for Philadelphia after almost pitching a complete game.

The Phillies got on the board with a solo home run from JT Realmuto during the top of the third inning. They added to that lead on a two-run double from Odubel Herrera in the seventh and an RBI double by Nick Castellanos in the eighth. Matt Olson scored the Braves’ lone run of the evening on a wild pitch by Corey Knebel in the bottom of the ninth.

Atlanta is again tied up with Philadelphia for second place in the NL East as each team has a record of 21-24 and is seven and a half games back from the division-leading New York Mets.
