TRANSIT SERVICE TO RIDGE FERRY PARK NOW AVAILABLE

The Rome Transit Department is excited to announce a new stop at Ridge Ferry Park will be added to the mainline fixed route service beginning Tuesday, May 31, 2022. The stop is located near the park’s public restrooms with easy access to the all the park’s amenities including the Rome-Floyd ECO Center and Wetland Demonstration Area, walking trails, outdoor exercise equipment, playgrounds, and volleyball courts. 
The launch of the new transit stop is timed to coincide with the return of the Farmer’s Market at Ridge Ferry Park. Riders will now have the opportunity to purchase fresh produce from local farmers at the Wednesday markets. The first Wednesday market will be held on June 8; transit staff will be on-site at the market.  On Saturday, June 4, transit will have ride guides available at the market.
Rome transit continues to offer free fixed route Mainline transit service through Dec. 30, 2022. The service is offered Monday to Friday and is closed on holidays. For details, service hours and transit route maps, visit  Romega.us/Transit
