ROME SHAKESPEARE FESTIVAL ORGANIZERS HOPE FOR SOME FAVORABLE WEATHER FOR THIS YEAR’S FESTIVAL, SET FOR THIS EVENING THROUGH SUNDAY

The organizers of the Rome Shakespeare Festival hope that the weather will cooperate for this year’s festival, set for tonight through Sunday on the Town Green in downtown Rome.

Julie McCluskey, Executive Director, appeals to locals to send good vibes for favorable weather. If the festival is rained out any night this week, those who have purchased tables may use them another night.

Two shows will be presented this year – ‘Timon of Athens’, the young actor’s production (with show time at 6:45 pm), and ‘As You Like It’ (with show time at 8 pm).

Food trucks will be on site starting at 5 pm nightly. Pre-show performances will take place each evening at 6 pm.

Admission is free to those who do not purchase tables in advance. Locals are encouraged by McCluskey to bring their lawn chairs or blankets to spread out on the Town Green and enjoy the performance.
