The Atlanta Braves grabbed their second walk-off victory of this week over the San Francisco Giants by a final score of 4-3 on Wednesday night in game three of a four-game set at Truist Park, which allowed the home team to take a 2-1 lead in the series.
The Giants struck first with solo home runs from Mike Yastrzemki and Darin Ruf off Charlie Morton in the top of the first and fourth innings, respectively. Matt Olson got the Braves on the board with an RBI double in the bottom of the seventh. Tommy LaStella hit an RBI single that gave San Francisco a 3-1 lead in the top of the ninth. But then came the bottom of that inning! Dansby Swanson put the Braves within a run of the Giants with a solo home run.
William Contreras had an RBI single to tie the game at 3-3. Atlanta secured the victory on a walk-off single from Adam Duvall.
AJ Minter was credited with the win for Atlanta, while Jake McGee took the loss for San Francisco.
The Braves improved to 40-30 on the ’22 season and remain in second place of the National League East, but now four and a half games behind the New York Mets (who lost to Houston on Wednesday night).
