Hospitality House for Women, Inc. seeks some new participants in the Grand Marshal Challenge that will be part of the annual Walk A Mile in Her Shoes event on Friday, October 21st.
Lynn Rousseau, Executive Director, says that the top fundraiser in the Grand Marshal Challenge will lead this year’s walk aboard the Roman Chariot. The challenge was added last year to WAM, which is held annually in observance of Domestic Violence Awareness Month in October. Lt. Josh Kerce with the Rome Police Department won the inaugural Grand Marshall Challenge back in 2021; Rousseau asserts that he will be back in 2022.
The challenge raises funds to support Hospitality House’s mission to provide aide to local victims of domestic violence. Walk a Mile in Her Shoes offers a light-hearted approach to raising awareness of domestic violence.
