ATLANTA BRAVES EMERGE VICTORIOUS IN SERIES FINALE VS. SAN FRANCISCO GIANTS, UP NEXT – FREDDIE FREEMAN AND THE LOS ANGELES DODGERS!

The Atlanta Braves beat the San Francisco Giants 7-6 on Thursday afternoon in the finale of a four game set at Truist Park; that allowed Atlanta to take the series 3-1.

Dansby Swanson contributed two home runs in the effort, a solo shot that got the Braves on the board during the bottom of the first inning and another one in the fourth.

Atlanta scored five runs during the bottom of the second inning. The Giants produced a late inning surge to include solo home runs by Austin Slater and Joc Pederson in the top of fifth and ninth innings, respectively. However, the Braves held on to secure the victory, again, by a final score of 7-6.

Kyle Wright got the win for Atlanta after surrendering four runs and 10 hits, walking one, and striking out four in five and a third innings. Kenley Jansen picked up the save. Alex Wood took the loss for San Francisco.

The Braves improved to 41-30 on the ’22 season and remain in second place of the National League East, but now four games behind the New York Mets (who were idle on Thursday). They will welcome former teammate Freddie Freeman and the Los Angeles Dodgers to town over the weekend. First pitch of tonight’s series opener is set for 7:20 pm.
