TWENTY FATALITIES REPORTED ON GEORGIA’S ROADS DURING INDEPENDENCE DAY WEEKEND

The Georgia Department of Public Safety has announced that 20 people lost their lives on the state’s roads during the Independence Day holiday weekend. The 78-hour holiday period began on Friday at 6 pm and ended Monday, July 4th at 11:59 pm. Last year’s 54-hour holiday period resulted in a total of nine fatalities.

Last Friday, July 1st marked the fourth anniversary of Georgia’s Hands-Free Law,
