Registration is open for the 37th annual Gary Tillman Memorial Clocktower 5K Road Race and 2-Mile Health Walk, slated for the morning of Saturday, August 20th. The event raises funds for the Exchange Club Family Resource Center.
Race day registration won’t be offered this year so go ahead and sign up now if you would like to participate, encourages Tina Bartleson, FRC’s Executive Director, who also indicates that the 5K will again serve as a qualifier for the Peachtree Road Race in Atlanta.
The cost to register through this Friday, July 22nd is $25 for the 5K and $20 for the 2-Mile. Registration costs are $30/$25 from July 23 through August 11th and $35/$30 from August 12th through 16th.
Teams of 10 or more (any combination of run and walk) receive a discount of $3 per person. The registrations for each team must be submitted together no later than August 11th.
Proceeds from the Clocktower Race will support the FRC mission to prevent child abuse in Rome and Floyd County, a mission which is facilitated by their Parent Aide program, states Bartleson.
