Commercial investments are on the rise in this community and around the world, attests Craig McDaniel, member of the Rome City Commission and a realtor with Toles, Temple & Wright, Inc.
Word on the street in the world of real estate is that Rome and Floyd County is a great place to open a business, indicates McDaniel.
McDaniel attributes this success to hard work and cooperation by the Rome-Floyd Chamber, the Rome-Floyd County Development Authority, and other entities.
Many locals have been posing this question to McDaniel – do you have any idea as to when The Varsity will officially open up in Rome? McDaniel, who was instrumental in securing the deal which is bringing the popular fast food chain to town, states that he hopes it will happen within the year. The Varsity will be located at the former site of Dairy Queen on Spider Webb Drive.
McDaniel adds that he enjoyed working with the Gordy family, which has owned and operated The Varsity since 1928.
