The Rome-Floyd County Commission on Children and Youth will join forces with Hospitality House for Women, Inc. in August for a week-long campaign aimed at raising awareness of Intimate Partner Violence.
The initiative, dubbed ‘1 and 3, It Could Be Me’, will be observed August 15th through 19th, as indicated by LaDonna Collins, RFCCCY Executive Director, who adds that interested parties may obtain additional details by reaching out to either non-profit.
Collins also encourages locals to check out the Community Resource Garden planted by Kim Headrick, RFCCCY’s Programs and Initiatives Coordinator. It is located at plot 18 in the South Rome Community Garden on Pennington Avenue.
The Rome-Floyd County Commission on Children and Youth is also getting ready for it’s 28th annual Swing FORE Kids Golf Classic, which is slated for Friday, September 23rd at Stonebridge Golf Club. For more information, visit the organization’s Facebook page.
