ATLANTA BRAVES BACK IN ACTION AT TRUIST PARK VERSUS COLORADO ROCKIES, ROME BRAVES HOST GREENVILLE DRIVE

The Atlanta Braves had a scheduled night off Monday and will open up a six game home stand tonight with the first of three matches against the Colorado Rockies at Truist Park. Max Fried will serve as starting pitcher for Atlanta, and Jose Urena will head to the mound for Colorado. The first pitch is slated for 7:20 pm. The Braves concluded a six-game road trip on Sunday night with a 6-3 loss in St. Louis to the Cardinals. They dropped two of three games in St. Louis, but began the road trip with a three-game sweep in Pittsburgh over the Pirates.

Atlanta is currently 79-50 on the 2022 season and remains in second place of the National League East, three games behind the division-leading New York Mets. Colorado is 55-74 and in last place of the NL West. The Braves swept the previous four-game series between those teams out in Denver, CO back in early June.

In a minor league update, the Rome Braves also the night off on Monday and will be back at AdventHealth Stadium this evening to open a six-game series versus the Greenville Drive. First pitch is set for 7 pm. Get tickets and more information at www.romebraves.com.

This will be Rome’s last home stand of the regular season. The team appears poised for a playoff run in 2022 as they now lead the South Atlantic League South’s standings at 33-19 for the second half of the season.
