ATLANTA BRAVES DEFEAT COLORADO ROCKIES TO EVEN SERIES AT TRUIST PARK

The Atlanta Braves defeated the Colorado Rockies 3-2 on Wednesday night in the middle outing of a three-game set at Truist Park, evening the series at a game each. Atlanta remains three games back from the National League East leading New York Mets, who beat the Los Angeles Dodgers.

Kyle Wright picked up his MLB-best 17th win of the year after giving up five hits, walking two, and striking out six over seven scoreless innings.

Austin Riley led the charge offensively for the Braves with a two-run homer during the bottom of the first. Ronald Acuna Jr. added a solo shot in the fifth.

Kenley Jansen held on to get the save, although he did surrender a two-run homer to Michael Toglia in the top of the ninth.

Ryan Feltner took the loss for Colorado, who saw a two-game winning streak come to an end. Atlanta snapped a three-game losing skid.
