COMMUNITY FOUNDATION FOR GREATER ROME ACCEPTING GRANT PROPOSALS FROM LOCAL NON-PROFITS

(Media release from the Community Foundation for Greater Rome):

The Community Foundation for Greater Rome is accepting grant proposals from local nonprofits for two grant programs: the Greater Rome Impact Grant and First Christian Heritage Grant. Proposals from area nonprofits are due by Friday, October 7, 2022 at 5 pm.

“Part of the Community Foundation’s mission is to empower donors to make a bigger impact in the organizations they already support,” executive director Ashley Garner says, adding, “our annual grant cycle allows us to fulfill the second part of our mission, which is helping local nonprofits to make a bigger impact on lives in Greater Rome.”

The Greater Rome Impact Grant is the Community Foundation’s flagship grant program, investing over $200,000 in grant funds since 2017. This year the fund will award up to $25,000 for a project that demonstrates a measurable impact on the community, collaboration with other organizations, sustainability, and the ability to leverage additional resources. All proposals will be reviewed by a grant review committee of community members.

The First Christian Heritage Grant was established upon the closing of First Christian Church in 2018 to support projects that promote the values of the church. This year the fund will award up to $3,000 for a project that enriches the spiritual lives of its participants, supports diversity and inclusion, and/or furthers social justice.
