GNTC’S HORTICULTURE PROGRAM TO HOST FALL MUM SALE NEXT WEEK

(Media release from Georgia Northwestern Technical College):

The Horticulture program at Georgia Northwestern Technical College (GNTC) will hold a Fall Mum Sale outside of Building L located across from GNTC’s Floyd County Campus in Rome Monday, Sept. 19, through Thursday, Sept. 22.

The sale will be held from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. on each day.

The mums will cost $5 each and will be available in yellow, red, bronze, white and lavender. Large mixed pots will also be available for $25 each.

The plants are located in a fenced area outside of Building L. Buyers should stop by Building L if no one is outside with the mums, said Nick Barton, director of GNTC’s Horticulture program.

The sale is a way for GNTC to contribute to the community that also gives Horticulture students real-world experience, Barton said.

All proceeds from the plant sale will benefit the Horticulture program at GNTC. Purchases may be made with cash or check and credit cards are not accepted.
