ATLANTA BRAVES RETURN TO TRUIST PARK FOR WEEKEND SET VERSUS PHILADELPHIA PHILLIES

The Atlanta Braves had a scheduled off day Thursday and will return to their home field at Truist Park tonight to begin a six-game homestand with the first of three National League East matches against the Philadelphia Phillies. Max Fried will serve as starting pitcher for Atlanta, while Ranger Suarez will head to the mound for Philadelphia. The first pitch is scheduled for 7:20 pm. That

game will not be aired on WLAQ 1410 AM/96.9 FM due to our broadcast of high school football. Listen to coverage of the remainder of that series from the Atlanta Braves Radio Network on Saturday night and Sunday.

The Braves just returned from an eight game road trip out west that included stops in Oakland, CA, Seattle, WA, and San Francisco, CA and resulted in a total of four wins and four losses. They are 88-55 on the 2022 regular season and a game behind the NL East-leading New York Mets (who snapped a three game losing streak with a win over the Pittsburgh Pirates on Thursday night). The Phillies are 80-63 and in third place of the division.

This will be the Braves’ next-to-last homestand of the regular season. It will also include a three-game NL East set versus the Washington Nationals early next week.
