AMERICAN RED CROSS OF NWGA SCHEDULES BLOOD DRIVE AT CHAPTER OFFICE IN ROME FOR SEPTEMBER 27TH, ENCOURAGES DISASTER PREPAREDNESS DURING SEPTEMBER OBSERVANCE OF NATIONAL PREPAREDNESS MONTH

The American Red Cross of Northwest Georgia will host a blood drive at the chapter office in Rome at 112 John Maddox Drive next Thursday, September 29th from 2 pm to 7 pm. According to Carla Maton, Executive Director of the chapter, appointments may be made online at www.redcrossblood.org. Every donor is being treated to a free hair cut from Sport Clips this month.

And as the observance of National Preparedness Month continues throughout September, Maton urges Northwest Georgians to get a disaster preparedness kit and stay informed whenever severe weather or any other type of disaster approaches.

The American Red Cross of Northwest Georgia continues to work alongside community partners to assist residents impacted by flooding up in Chattooga County over Labor Day weekend. Donations towards those efforts are being accepted at the chapter office in Rome and at www.redcross.org.
