FLOYD COUNTY PAWS CONTINUES TO SEEK ADOPTERS

Summer is over, but Floyd County Public Animal Welfare Services (PAWS) remains overrun with cats and dogs in need of forever homes.

Jeff Mitchell, Director, says that both adopters and volunteers are sought by PAWS at this time.

The shelter is open to the public from 1 pm to 5 pm on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays and by appointment on Saturdays. Mitchell suggests the adoption of a senior pet. Senior pets are often overlooked by adopters in search of babies, but they are equally lovable.

Donations are also needed to fund the transportation of animals up North for adoption, says Mitchell.

Floyd County PAWS is located at 99 North Avenue in Rome. For additional information, call (706) 236-4537 or look for Public Animal Welfare Services on Facebook.
