IT’S TIME FOR THE 73RD ANNUAL COOSA VALLEY FAIR!

It is fair week in Rome, Georgia! The 73rd annual Coosa Valley Fair opens today and continues through this Saturday at the fairgrounds located at 1400 Martin Luther King Jr Blvd.

Phil Burkhalter, President of the Coosa Valley Fair Association, invites locals to attend this year’s fair. Gates open at 5 pm today for the event affectionately known as ‘Fall’s Finest Festival’.

Carloads will be admitted for $10 from 5 pm until 6 pm today (no trucks or vans). Armbands will be available for $22 each for unlimited rides until the fair closes tonight. The night will be highlighted by the CVF Cheerleading Exhibition and Spirit Competition.

The featured shows at the 73rd annual Coosa Valley Fair will include: Camp Carousel Petting Zoo, Space Adventure Thrill Show, Circus Incredible, and The Magical Adventure Show featuring Michael Frisbee.

Burkhalter attests that plenty of livestock will be on hand, in keeping with the event’s tradition as an agricultural fair.

There will also be plenty of fair food, according to Burkhalter.

Fair attendees may also enjoy homemaking, arts and crafts, and photography exhibits, pageants, and thrilling rides (courtesy of Wade Shows).
