The 73rd annual Coosa Valley Fair continues through Saturday at the Coosa Valley Fairgrounds, 1400 Martin Luther King Jr Blvd in Rome. Event hours are 5 pm until 10 pm on Friday and 10 am until midnight on Saturday. Miss Coosa Valley Fair will highlight Saturday evening’s activities.
Regular admission to the fair is $5 for those ages six and older. Admission is free to those under six. Carloads will be admitted on Saturday morning from 10 am to 11 am for $10 (no trucks or vans).
Armbands will be available for purchase on Friday evening at the cost of $25 each for unlimited rides until the fair closes. Armbands will cost $30 each on Saturday.
Phil Burkhalter, President of the Coosa Valley Fair Association, encourages attendees, particularly youngsters, to check out the petting zoo. It features a camel, a kangaroo, and a monkey.
