Georgia Highlands College (GHC) recently joined “College Access Day” presented by the Cartersville-Bartow Chamber of Commerce. A second date is planned for Saturday, November 5th.

This half-day event is to assist native Spanish speakers and Hispanic and Latino high schoolers with college aspirations to better understand financial aid (FAFSA), college admissions, and accessing local scholarships.
Parents are encouraged to attend. Childcare will be provided by qualified staff from St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church. Refreshments will be served.
Admissions staff from Georgia Highlands College will be in attendance.
During the last event, GHC student Michelle Pineda translated GHC’s presentation while sharing her story and experience at the college. The event is mostly in Spanish and registration is free.
